Facial HIFU consultation in Leeds
HIFU uses focused energy to heat small points beneath the facial or neck skin. A Leeds consultation checks whether mild skin laxity is a reasonable target and whether another option, including no treatment, fits better.

Consider non-surgical treatment options with realistic guidance and an individual suitability discussion at our Leeds studio in Brooklands Court.
The Leeds clinic is inside Brooklands Court 1 at the business centre on Tunstall Road. Use the rear car park to approach the correct building and allow time to check the entrance arrangement.
Set expectations first
HIFU is for limited cosmetic change.
A handpiece delivers rows of focal thermal points at a cartridge-defined depth while the surface remains uncut. The biological response is intended to remodel collagen over time; it is not the same as physically lifting or excising tissue.
People with marked laxity, volume loss or concerns caused by another condition may gain little from HIFU. The assessment should identify the actual issue rather than applying a standard full-face pattern.

Energy can affect more than collagen.
Burns, nerve symptoms, fat atrophy, prolonged tenderness and contour irregularity have been reported. Training and conservative selection reduce avoidable risk but cannot guarantee a complication-free result.
After the appointment
Track function and sensation as well as appearance.
Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, tingling or temporary numbness can occur. Cosmetic change, if any, is assessed gradually and may be subtle. Repeat treatment should not be automatic when the first response is unknown.
Follow written skincare and sun guidance. New blistering, pale or dark patches, strong pain, persistent loss of sensation, asymmetry, weakness or altered facial movement should be reported without delay and medically assessed when appropriate.

Compare carefully before drawing conclusions.
This prior-client image is not an average and does not show non-responders. Pose, expression, lighting, focal length and follow-up interval must be consistent for a fair review.

Browse the current options, then use consultation to confirm whether the area and cartridge depths are suitable. More lines or a larger package are not automatically safer or better.

What can facial HIFU realistically alter?
It may improve the appearance of mild laxity or definition in selected areas. It will not replace lost volume, remove excess skin, change bone structure or reproduce surgery.
Are results immediate?
An early feeling of tightness may reflect swelling or tissue contraction. The intended remodelling response develops over later months, and some people see little change.
How long does it last?
Published evidence does not establish one dependable duration for every device and person. Ageing continues, so avoid any promise of a fixed multi-year result or automatic annual treatment.
What should I disclose?
Mention pregnancy, neurological or sensory disorders, dental or facial implants, active skin disease, previous facial surgery, threads, fillers, injectables and energy-based treatments, plus all medicines and relevant medical conditions.
Is HIFU painless?
No. Sensations range from warmth and tingling to short, sharp pain. Severe or nerve-like pain is not a test of effectiveness and should trigger reassessment during the session.
What are uncommon but serious harms?
Potential complications include burns, persistent altered sensation, nerve injury, fat loss and contour change. Ask how the clinic prevents, recognises and manages each one.
When is medical advice better than cosmetic consultation?
New facial weakness, a lump, unexplained swelling, pain, skin change or rapid asymmetry needs appropriate medical assessment. Cosmetic HIFU should never be used to diagnose or treat such symptoms.
A smaller promise is more honest
